Báinín Throw - Light Blue
Báinín is the Irish word for handwoven woolen cloth. The word is derived from the Irish word bán, which translates to the colour white. This represents the white base (warp) of these throws.
This teachín handwoven throw is woven on a traditional Donegal handloom here in our studio.
Each throw is woven by hand using techniques.
Where tradition meets the modern day. A blend of traditional patterns mixed with modern colours keeping originality at the core of our style but with a modern flair.
Warm and durable, these throws are built to last and will survive generations if taken good care of and should be passed down through the family.
We take great pride in these throws, each string of yarn is passed through our hands from start to finish and these items should be cherished and treated with love and respect.
By purchasing a throw you are not only supporting a craftsperson but you are contributing to the preservation and survival of an ancient Irish craft for future generations. Go raibh mhaith agat, thank you.
